The Dental Students’ Scientific Association of Egypt (DSSA) participated in spreading awareness on World Diabetes Day, the primary global awareness campaign on diabetes mellitus. The event was held in the waiting area of MIU Dental Clinics Complex on Wednesday, November 16,2017.
It was attended by the DCC patients (children and adults) and some MIU staff. The objective of the awareness campaignwas to provide information about how to control and prevent the disease as well as how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
There were 20 students participating in this activity under the collaborative supervision of Vice Dean of Student and Educational Affairs, Vice Dean of Community and EnvironmentalAffairs, and Medicine Department of the Faculty of Oral & Dental Medicine. All parties cooperated to guarantee the validity of information given to our patients. A satisfaction questionnaire was given out to the participants by the end of the session.
