The Faculty of Al-Alsun and Mass Communication invited Ms. Safaa Faisal, Cairo Bureau Editor, BBC World Service Group, to give a talk on “Traditional Media in a Digital World: Challenges and Opportunities,” on Monday, November 12.
Ms. Faisal talked about the role of the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) as a public service broadcaster and one of the oldest and largest broadcasting groups in the world. She also discussed the challenges facing the BBC and their efforts to focus on innovation and growth in order to have a wider reach among the viewers.
Ms. Faisal also highlighted the use of the latest technology in order to target viewers of different age groups. The talk was followed with a question and answer session.
