Computer Science 2021 Senior students (Esraa Hassan and Rawan Sherif) in collaboration with Ain Shams University Racing Team won third place globally and first place among the Arab and African countries in the Formula Student Competition held in the United Kingdom, a business study presentation of a self-driving racing car, , where the team presented a complete marketing plan for a program and a system to convert cars into self-driving vehicles.
A ceremony was held by Ain Shams University to honor the team and it was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Misr International University, Dr. Ayman Bahaa, and Esraa Hassan, Computer Science Senior Student. Ain Shams University Racing Team is a student organization established in 2010, run by university students and supervised by professors of the Faculty of Engineering. The team which consists of students from different faculties of the university was awarded as the best student organization in Egypt for the year 2019 and as the best student activity at Ain Shams University in 2021.
