The Faculty of Al Alsun and Mass Communication organized a seminar on November 10, 2021 on mental health during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The seminar was led by Dr. Shireen Shawqi, mental health consultant and psychotherapist, who talked about the six universal emotions.
She focussed on fear, one of the six emotions, which can harm people emotionally, physically, and psychologically. Dr. Shawqi described the different levels of fear and their effect during the COVID-19 pandemic and pointed out a number of effective strategies to cope with fear and stress.
