Faculty of Al Alsun and Mass Communication Awards Second Master’s Degree in Comparative Media Studies

Graduate student Nada Osama obtained her master’s degree in Comparative Media Studies, on Saturday, October 30, 2021. Osama was the second student to be awarded a master’s degree since the program’s inception in Fall 2018. The Defense Committee included her two supervisors, Professor Mohamed Hossam, MIU and Professor Khaled Salah El-Din, Cairo University, Dr. Nihal Abdelrahman, Chair of the Department of Mass Communication at Misr International University, and Professor Amany Fahmy, Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University.

Osama’s thesis topic was about “The Effect of Bullies’ Portrayals in Pop Culture Movies on Facebook Cyber-Bullying: A Comparative study of Bullies’ Representation in Egyptian versus American Pop Culture Movies.”
The Defense Committee praised the importance of the topic and commended the candidate for her efforts.
