In appreciation and acknowledgement of the extracurricular students’ achievements and activities, a Scientific Day was organized by the Faculty of Computer Science on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. The celebration took place in room OOA and lasted from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The Scientific Day aimed at providing motivation and support not only to students but also staff members that showed promising and exceptional performance in various areas during the academic year 2018/2019. The ceremony commenced with honoring the top lecturers and teaching assistants and administration staff who have consistently shown excellent research skills, academic performance and outstanding administrative performance.
The event was concluded with honoring the top three students with the highest cumulative GPA from each of the four classes. Subsequently, awards were given to students who made excellent academic contribution through course assisting, competitions, graduation projects and research. Moreover, Awards were given to students who participated in sports activities. MIU plans to organize such award days annually so as to continually support its hard working and dedicated students and staff members of the Faculty of Computer Science.
